John and his wife, Alicia, are raising three children to be God fearing productive adults who will accomplish their goals. Together, they operate Desert Premium Farms in Yuma, Arizona, aiming to grow the best food, feed, and fiber possible. John is an advocate for America farmers and ranchers and dedicates his voice to communicate with policy makers and the public to advance agriculture.
John's experience includes:
- Two terms as Yuma County Farm Bureau President, one term as County Vice President, and currently serving as Arizona Farm Bureau First Vice President
- Appointed to Arizona Department of Agriculture Advisory Board by Governor Dough Ducey, serving as Co-Chairman
- Graduate of American Farm Bureau's PALS program
- Yuma County Farm Bureau 2019 Farmer of the Year
Desert Premium Farms grows fresh vegetables in the winter, in addition to melons, wheat, alfalfa, seed crops, sudangrass, and more. John has been in agriculture for more than 20 years, owning and operating several farming and pesticide application businesses.
In his free time, John enjoys playing goalie in inline hockey with his family. When not farming or at the hockey rink, you can find him boating on the Colorado River, water skiing, tubing, and all that good stuff, or camping!
