Joe Garcia

Joe Garcia is the founder and Chairman of the Board for the California Farmworker Foundation, which creates a better future for farmworkers by providing programs and services to better their quality of life. Most recently the Foundation has supported essential farmworkers by providing masks, free COVID testing on grower facilities, financial assistance, and a call center for any questions during the pandemic. The foundation is supported by growers and farm labor contractors that invest in their communities and employees. 

Joe was raised in King City, CA. He is a graduate of Cal State University Fresno, B.S. Science, Business Administration- Agribusiness Option. Joe has worked in agriculture since 1992.  He started in the citrus industry in human resources and safety; he has also worked in the Garlic industry, then landed in the grape industry in 1997 as the Human Resource and Safety Director for Pandol Brothers Inc.

In 2005, Joe established Jaguar Farm Labor Contracting and Garcia Management & Consulting.  Jaguar FLC has over 4,000 employees statewide at peak, in citrus, wine and table grape, and nursery industries, throughout the state, also having worked in Oregon. Garcia Management provides administrative service, payroll, HR and safety services to ag clients.  Joe is also the owner of Farmers Hardware in Lamont, CA which provides ag supplies to the industry.

Mr. Garcia is a proud father and single parent to Joshua (21), Abigail (17) and Jeremy (35) and no matter how busy he is his family comes first.  Joe has coached his children’s basketball teams since Joshua was in the third grade, traveling all over California and Nevada. It has brought him great joy being able to sponsor various teams in youth sports, and be able to  provide many young men and girls the opportunity to travel outside of the Central Valley and experience new places. When he has spare time, he enjoys playing golf with friends and traveling with my family.
